Childrenās Garden HomeĀ & School located in Nairobi, Kenya is a home to over 300 kids and there is a need for a sustainable food program as they were heavily reliant on donations which have been affected by the ongoing pandemic.
Children Garden Home is a community based, non-governmental, non-profit charitable organization for orphans, abandoned, abused, desperate and neglected street children regardless of religion, sex, color or tribe. Through parental love, spiritual care, rehabilitation and on-formal education, we nurture them to unleash their full potential towards living a good life based on self-reliance.
WAVE initiated and lead the land purchase for farming , which is essential for:
- Long term self sufficiency
- Providing vocational programs for the teenage kids
- Additional source of income for Children’s Garden Home
- A better diet and food program for the kids.
Land located at the heart of the rift valley in the most productive and fertile Lands in Kenya provides opportunities for a lot of farming.
Next steps for the land
1. Fencing of the 2 and half acres to ensure security of the produce. The fencing is complete as of today.
2. Water project. We seek to impact the lives of the community around the farmland with clean water. The water will also be used to irrigate the farm land to ensure that we are not only reliant on rain which has been scarce in the area.
3. Installation of a Greenhouse to ensure full year utilization of the farmland. This and the water project will be done in partnership with our good friends at With My Own 2 Hands.

WAVE Children’s Foundation supports this programs in Kenya and others to be self-sustainable and ensure that kids living in such centers have access to education, clean water, and healthy nutritious diets.
