Our impact programs

Below, read the stories of individuals, families and communities whose lives have been transformed through your generous donations.Over 500 kids have access to healthy and nutritious meals.

Children’s Garden Home is a school and orphanage. The center supports youth through love, spiritual care, rehabilitation and access to education in order to nourish each child’s personal development. The center serves between 250-500 children. The community not only offers schooling but also empowerment and life-skills programs that support the youth beyond life at the center.

GREENHOUSE

“The greenhouse has been benefiting us. For the first time in a long time we had delicious meals prepared with tomatoes and our vegetables have been very delicious.” – Youth at Children’s Garden Home, 2020

Our Greenhouse Project requires ongoing maintenance to upkeep our crops. The Children at the home love learning about the process of agriculture, and helping plant their harvest. Vegetables range depending on the season, with a current focus on tomatoes. Not only is this project a wonderful learning experience, it allows us to be sustainable and have a harvest that directly feeds our home.

Naivasha Farm land

Due to COVID 19 and the recent ending of food support to Children’s Garden Home provided by the state and Feed the Children organization, security of agricultural opportunity has become our main priority. With this land purchase, we started to grow essential food to feed the children at the home, and also help the community by providing well water.

The purchase of the land was funded by WAVE in the amount of 50,000 USD, for 2.5 acres, which was a favorable price per acre due to a close friendship with the previous owner.
The title of the land is in the name of the Founder of Children’s Garden Home. With the land board of Naivasha approving the sale by July of 2021, we immediately funded the fencing around the property and first maize seeding.
We are now raising another $50,000 for funding the new necessary water well, an
irrigation system and Greenhouse for successful farming, without weather interruptions.
This fund raising has started as of October 2021.

Information center

Technology is the window of opportunity. In partnership with Orphaned Starfish Foundation, we fully equipped an Information Center with the IT equipment needed for 20 children to have virtual classes and learn
advanced computer skills.
Providing the children with the tools and resources needed to advance in today’s modern world will open doors for them filled with career
opportunities and educational experiences they otherwise would not have. Since the commencement of this program in mid 2020, we have enhanced the classes for the students, the programs with virtual
lessons from all over the world.

The kids are now actively involved in coding and lego activities.
