A very eventful day got better when the students met their mentors from GSM Systems, a telecommunication company based in Nairobi. Liz, one of the mentors encouraged the high school students to work hard and believe in themselves. ‘If you are committed you can achieve all of your dreams. Imagine what you want become and start building on that.Drugs and early relationships will hinder students from achieving their dreams. Put God in the base of everything you do and remember to run you own race’

The students later engaged the mentors in a Q&A
Student: What is GSM systems?
Mentor: We do engineering in telecommunications. To work with us you will have to study Telecom engineering.
Student: What should I do when I feel like giving up?
Mentor: Prayer, walk with God and find mentors. Work out. Burning calories helps in stress relieving. Read books.
Student: How can we overcome temptations in relationships and drugs?
There is time for everything.
Student: How do we forgive and deal with people who keep on hurting us?
Mentor: If you don’t forgive you burden yourself. The bible say we are to forgive as many times as possible. When you forgive you get personal peace.
Student: Does it mean changing to be someone else will affect your future?
Mentor: We are fearfully and wonderfully made. You can be the very best version. Don’t change who you are but learn from others.
